Who I AM

I'm Paul, a fractional CFO and strategic advisor for founders of creative, media, and luxury businesses.

My career has taken me across three continents and through some of the most interesting businesses in the creative and luxury world. I started my career in finance and operations at L'OrΓ©al's luxury division in Tokyo and DΓΌsseldorf. I built the finance function at Valrhona in Brooklyn, including their flagship pastry school. I launched two luxury caviar brands across the US market. I ran finance and operations at The New Republic in New York. And I spent five years as Head of Finance and Operations at Cut Studios, a media production and distribution company, across Seattle and London.

What all of those businesses had in common: they were built by people with exceptional taste and creative vision, who needed someone to translate that vision into financial clarity and operational stability.

That's the work I find genuinely interesting, not building spreadsheets, but sitting alongside a founder at the moments when the decisions get hard. Understanding what the numbers are really saying. Helping them see around corners they can't yet see because they're too close to the work.

I'm French, based between London and the south of France, and I work with a small number of clients at a time β€” primarily in the US and France. Remote by design, senior by experience.
